The Stihl MSA-160 C-BQ is the smaller of Stihls Battery chainsaw range, ideal for smaller domestic work in noise-sensitive areas. It features 17% greater cutting performance than the previous model, Stihl Quick Chain Tensioning, QuickStop Super chain brake, tool free oil cap and a 1/4" saw chain for a smooth and efficient cut. Recommended for use with the AP200 Battery and AL100 Charger.
Ematic chain lubrication system - The STIHL Ematic chain lubrication system provides maximum lubrication, longer wear and less oil consumption than conventional methods of chain lubrication. The oil consumption can therefore be reduced by up to 50%.
Two-handled operation - The ergonomically shaped handle and rear control handle with comfortable soft-grip component ensure safe working in all operating positions.
Operating handle - The black soft component on the rear handle provides a secure and firm grip in all working positions.
Toolless filler cap - The tank can be filled quickly and easily using the toolless filler cap.
Batteries - Stihl recommend this saw to be used with the 151Wh AP200 Battery which would allow for 35mins trigger time fully charged. You can use the smaller 76Wh AP100 battery which is lighter or the higher powered AP300 for longer trigger time. The AR2000 and AR3000 backpack batteries are also worth looking at if usage of over 3hrs without a charge is also required.
Chargers - All 3 Stihl chargers can be used with all the normal batteries, while the AP300 and AP500 will charge the backpack batteries too. Charging times vary depending on battery capacity and charger. E.G. AP200 battery in AL200 charger will charge to 80% capacity in 30mins, and 100% in 55mins.
