For years, TEUFELBERGER has provided its tree care customers with ropes, harnesses, and accessories for the most challenging needs and applications. And their success has proven them right. It keeps driving them toward more record-breaking innovations and motivates them to go that extra mile for their customers. However, they also consider it their responsibility to share their success with those who have less and to make a lasting contribution to protecting our environment.
These considerations were what inspired their new "Save trees. Save life" T-shirt. Rather than being a mere visual statement, it primarily serves a good cause: 1 euro from every T-shirt sold goes to the "Forest Livelihoods" project in Burkina Faso run by TREE AID. This project provides aid and support to women in Africa on their way out of poverty while also promoting the (re)forestation of forest areas.
The project "Forest Livelihoods" in Yako in the North Region of Burakina Faso works with 33 communities to support poor, rural women to set up and run successful small businesses based on selling things that grow on trees. Women are primarily in charge of this income which enables them to buy stocks of food to help their families through the hot hungry months, shoes and books so their children can go to school as well as medicine when their children are sick. This way they can lift themselves and their families out of poverty while protecting and improving the environment around them.
