The Gränsfors Sharpening Stone is made of ceramic abrasive, and its grain structure was designed to meet the demands of both coarse and fine grinding. The 180-grit side is used for fine grinding, while the finer 600-grit side is utilised for correcting hard wear damage. The stone's grain structure gives it durability and toughness. A ceramic sharpening stone can be manufactured to have a more exact grain size than a natural stone. The stone is spherical, flattened, and has bevelled edges that transition to round. The fine side takes up two thirds of the thickness because it often ages the fastest. The stone can be utilised dry as well as with water, as is the customary. A rubber case is included with the sharpening stone.
