Bison Forged Drawknife Description

The Bison drawknife is a one-of-a-kind tool that is hand-forged and has handles with a natural finish.

The Bison drawknife is made to remove bark and shape logs. It cuts cleanly so that the wood can be planed to your liking. The drawknife can also be used to make dowels and other pieces of wood for projects that involve woodworking. The strong, curved wooden handles fit comfortably in the hand and let you put a lot of force into each stroke. The sharp tip of the drawknife slides over wood, and if you angle it into the wood by hand, you can get a deeper cut.

Bison 1879 comes from the family tradition of master smith Moritz Trept. This family tradition grew into the company Bison. Bison is known for making hand-forged axes and woodland tools that are each one of a kind. Different hickory wood handles give each tool a unique look and will be different from one tool to the next. Hickory wood's natural colour ranges from a very light yellow to a darker, more brown tone. The colour of the handle has no effect on its quality or how it works. In fact, a lot of customers like this natural colour scheme because it makes their tool look unique and real. Bison handles are attached with a lot of pressure, and there may be some splinters when they are put together. These are easy to take off with a light sandpaper. Bison 1879 stands out because its tools are made by hand and have a real sense of individuality.
