A Hands-On Test With Our Team

We had the pleasure getting our hands on the new 564 XP in late August, as Gareth from Husqvarna stopped by and let us have a go. What we'll say is that firstly, we were pleasantly surprised with the handling and ergonomics as soon as we picked this machine up. It is exceptionally lightweight for its power, you almost tense your arm expecting to be put under more strain, but like its smaller XP counterparts like the 550XP, its really compact and easy to handle. Snedding will be a joy with it.

While we only had some larger timber rounds to be able to cut at short notice, we still managed to put the unit to the test, and created some nice cut-offs with real speed and precision. The instant throttle response really impresses too, especially if you've been used to standard carburettor chainsaws for the last few years.
